Use less gas with these simple tricks

It doesn't matter what kind of car you drive, these tips and tricks will help you save gas.

Did you know you can save considerably at the gas pump just by adjusting your driving habits? It doesn't matter what kind of car you drive, good driving habits contribute to better fuel economy, which saves money.

Perform routine maintenance

Your car needs the right air and fuel ratio to run efficiently. A well-maintained and tuned-up vehicle is going to be the most gas efficient! We recommend checking your owners manual and finding out how often your spark plugs need to be replaced.

Keep tires inflated to ideal pressure

Under-inflated tires tend to decrease mileage. (Also, they can be very dangerous depending on the psi) Check manufacturers' recommendations and make sure your tires are inflated to the proper PSI. You're also going to want to measure this when the tires are cold!

Drive friendly

Aggressive driving such as revving the engine, speeding, screeching around corners, and jamming on the gas pedal are major fuel wasters. Avoid aggressive starts, and try to drive in a conservative fashion for top fuel savings.

Avoid excessive idling

Surprisingly, idling uses quite a bit of fuel. If you need to wait in your parked vehicle for more than a few minutes, turn the engine off and only start up again when you're ready to start driving again.
